Vanity Affair
Regrettably my schedule doesn’t allow me a lot of time to curl up with a good book and read for hours of uninterrupted bliss. Life’s too busy for that. I’ve even attempted to read in bed before turning off the lights—or turning on my lover—but at the end of an exhausting and demanding day, reading becomes more of a chore than anything else. And when I do read in bed, rarely am I able to absorb more than a few pages before nodding off. Sad but true.
But there is one publication that I simply devour once it’s in my hot little hands, and that’s the fabulous magazine, Vanity Fair. Packed with well-penned articles that cover practically everything (politics, crime, culture, etc…), and beautiful pics from some of the most gifted photographers in the world (the glorious Annie Leibovitz, for example), it brightens the beginning of any month.
The annual March 2006 special edition is particularly exquisite for those looking for a juicy injection of celebrity. Entitled “Tom Ford’s Hollywoodâ€, it includes a stunning 46 page photo portfolio of the current crop of Hollywood’s hottest stars with an introduction by delicious designer and cover boy Tom Ford (with his perpetual 5 o’clock shadow, sexy sideburns and hot, hairy chest).
And there’s no shortage of attractive actors on tasteful display in this photo spread: Brokeback Mountain’s Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger, Eric Bana (Munich, Troy), Viggo Mortensen (A History of Violence, Lord of the Rings trilogy), Taye Diggs (Rent, How Stella Got Her Groove Back), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Match Point, Bend It Like Beckham), Terence Howard (Hustle & Flow, Crash), Joaquin Phoenix (Walk the Line, Gladiator) and George Clooney (Syriana, Good Night, and Good Luck) to name more than just a few. For gay men and straight women, it’s a delectable collection of eye candy.
Check out the photos first. Then read the articles.
Cheers!
