It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

It’s hard to believe that October is nearly here; which means that the end of the year is not that far off either. Along with that comes the creation of my Top 10 Hot Sites for 2008 list. Admittedly, given the number of sites I review each year, it can be a bit of task compiling that list; especially this year since I’ve found quite a number of sites that I’m really fond of.

One of the things I enjoy about putting my Top 10 list together is the opportunity to re-visit as many of the sites from the previous year’s list of winners as possible. It’s only fair since in order for a site to be eligible for 2008 consideration, I need to have either reviewed a site for the first time or re-visited it. As a refresher, my Top 10 for 2007 were as follows:

1. Sean Cody – read my review

2. Men At Play – read my review

3. Bel Ami Online – read my review

4. MaleFlixxx.tv – read my review

5. Randy Blue – read my review

6. Latin Boyz – read my review

7. SexGaymes.tv – read my review

8. Hairy Boyz – read my review

9. English Lads – read my review

10. Stud Sex Tour – read my review

A pretty tough Top 10 to break into, I have to say.

Not re-visiting in any particular order, the first site I’ve returned to is the London based Men At Play, filled with beefy guys deliciously (and at least initially) attired in business suits; the majority of them wonderfully uncut (the studs, not the suits).

When I first reviewed MAP a few years ago, it was instantly clear that it had raised the bar considerably where hot content, high production values and easy navigation were concerned. That bar has remained raised, I’m happy to report. Not content to rest on its laurels, MAP continues to fill its offices and boardrooms (among other locations) with the kind of sizzling bodies (some familiar, some new) that few other sites can match. And whether you’re into solo scenes or some fucking and sucking action between two gents, don’t be surprised when you find yourself putting in plenty of overtime on Men At Play.

I can hardly wait to re-visit some of my other top sites from 2007. Next up: Sean Cody.

Tommy Defendi - A Studly Star Is Born

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

A couple of blog entries ago I was discussing the splendid Suite 703 sites (Men Hard At Work, Hot Jocks Nice Cocks, and My Brother’s Hot Friend). As with any site I review, some gents are more memorable to me than others. Upon my initial “researching” of the sites, tasty Trevor Knight and big Barrett Long caught my eye; however, after posting my review, I still couldn’t get enough of the Suite 703 sites so I went back to check out even more of its content. I’m thrilled that I did; otherwise, I may never have had the opportunity to feast my eyes upon the AMAZING Tommy Defendi, admittedly Sir Randy’s latest stud-crush. I just can’t get enough of this guy (which isn’t to say that I’m obsessing over him).

At nineteen (a bit younger than my usual objects of desire, I must confess), 6’ 1”, with a beautiful (and thick) 8.5” cock and dreamy bedroom eyes, Tommy can do no wrong. He’s a natural in front of the camera, equipped with a killer smile that is equally innocent and mischievous, and really appears to be having a good time in his scenes. I first fell in lust with Tommy when I checked out his steamy lunchroom scene with (lucky) Ryan Raz on the Men Hard At Work site. Watch the exxxtensive teaser clip and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Grab a membership and you’ll really see why I’m so hot for this guy. And if you have a weakness for dudes in (and quickly out of) sports uniforms, then you’ll want to check out Tommy in his scene with Dempsey Stearns at the Hot Jocks Nice Cocks site.

I just read that Tommy Defendi has signed an exclusive contract with Suite 703 (smart, smart move on their part) so you can expect to see much more of him on their sites in future, I’m thinking. But in the meantime, you may want to also check out the 5 clips he currently has featured on College Dudes 247. I guess it won’t come as too much of a surprise for me to share with you that I’m planning to review the entire College Dudes 247 site in the near future. After all, you can never get too much of a good thing.

Cheerio!

TTFN TIFF

Monday, September 15th, 2008

Yikes. I can’t believe that it’s been over a month since my last blog entry. Chalk it up to a summer that’s kept me away from my laptop on a fairly regular basis, most recently with attending the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF); which ran from September 4-13.

Normally, I’m a “gala only” kind of gay but this year I decided to forego that in favor of an opportunity to see more films. And as a result of the decision to instead purchase a daytime pass, I was able to catch 24 films in 8 days. Averaging 3 movies per day—and a couple of parties; one with guests like Anne Hathaway, Scott Speedman and Ron Livingston–it’s no wonder I didn’t have a lot of time for blogging.

So what was worth seeing? Here are some of my favorites at TIFF:

RocknRolla – Guy Ritchie’s (yes, Madge’s yummy hubby) latest multi-layered offering is being hailed as a return to form (after 2005’s not-so-well received Revolver with yummy Jason Statham) and deservingly so. From the opening credits, this is a fun and clever ride that is worth repeat viewings. The strong cast includes sexy Gerard Butler, Tom Wilkinson, Thandie Newton, Ludacris, and Jeremy Piven. At the screening I attended, Ritchie was on hand to introduce the film, looking ever so delicious in jeans and nice fitting sweater. Oh, and that lovely accent….mmm…

Slumdog Millionaire – Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) directed this wonderful film about the life of a boy in India who survives a tough childhood in the slums only to face an even more unexpected challenge as a young man when he’s on the verge of winning big on his country’s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionare? This film has everything: humor, drama, a heart—not to mention a strong Bollywood inspired soundtrack. Slumdog Millionaire won the People’s Choice Award at TIFF this year, and if released theatrically by the end of 2008, I wouldn’t be surprised if some serious Oscar buzz was generated.

The Burning Plain – This was actually my favorite film at TIFF, a powerful drama featuring Charlize Theron and Kim Basinger (among others), directed and written by Guillermo Arriaga, the man also responsible for writing 21 Grams and Babel. I was mesmerized by Theron’s performance as a woman filled with self-loathing, and Basinger was just as good. I’d consider both for Academy Awards.

As far as gay-themed films went, I only saw a couple but one was a real charmer. Patrik, Age 1.5 is a Swedish film helmed by a woman director and deals with what happens when a gay (and completely hot) male couple thinks that the child they are to adopt is a 1 and a half year old boy. It turns out that the child is actually 15 years old, a bit of a delinquent and also quite homophobic. I’m hopeful that this film gets distributed in North America as it’s definitely worth seeing.

I could go on and on about other films at TIFF but now with the Film Festival over, my thoughts and efforts are returning to uncovering the hottest and sexiest gents on-line and bringing them to you.

Coming soon: My latest on-line stud crush.
